Patrick Cummins

Executive Director, Western Climate Initiative, Inc.

Patrick Cummins was retained as Executive Director of Western Climate Initiative, Inc. on March 1, 2013 after serving in that position on an interim basis for six months. Mr. Cummins spent the previous 13 years as Director of Air Quality Programs at the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) where he managed the Western Regional Air Partnership and coordinated the development of regional haze plans for 15 Western states. While at WGA, Mr. Cummins also served as Project Manager for the Western Climate Initiative beginning in 2007. Before his time with WGA, he served as Deputy Director of Denver’s Regional Air Quality Council, and also worked for the USEPA (1987-1991) and in the natural gas industry. Patrick holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Fort Lewis College and an MPA in Environmental Policy from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.
