Obadiah Bartholomy

Senior Project Manager, SMUD

Obadiah Bartholomy is a Senior Project Manager in the Energy R&D group at SMUD. He leads their Climate Change and Energy Efficiency R&D programs. For climate change, this includes Cap and Trade implementation, climate policy development, GhG strategic planning, Local Climate Action Planning, mitigation technology evaluation, and carbon offset procurement. The energy efficiency program demonstrates and tests advanced lighting, cooling, whole building retrofit and zero net energy design, and solar technologies, moving towards mainstream zero net energy/peak/carbon buildings. Obadiah also manages several solar related projects including solar forecasting and variability assessment, and high penetration PV evaluation and mitigation. He earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and an MS in transportation technology and policy from UC Davis.
